BROWNSBURG, Ind. (September 21, 2026) – Although shy of victory, Rico Abreu’s effort in Lucas Oil Speedway’s 16th annual Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin Memorial was satisfactory, concluding the three-day High Limit Racing showcase with a pair of top-ten outcomes, the best equaling a top-five in the weekend finale on Saturday, September 19.

Abreu, the reigning High Limit Racing national champion who holds down the current point lead, finished fourth in his top-five outcome, powering ahead four spots from the outside of row four. The St. Helena, California, native was on pace to perform even better in Thursday’s opener, but accidental contact with Brady Bacon halted any positive momentum; Abreu finished seventh.

As expressed, despite some hiccups, the ace of Tony Stewart’s Carquest, Curb Records, Sugarbee Apples, Waste Connections, Arc Zone, Martin One Source, Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts, No. 24 sprinter remains in charge of the High Limit Racing championship standings, now ahead of Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) by 101 markers.
