BROWNSBURG, Ind. (August 24, 2026) – It was not the best of weekends for Rico Abreu and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing, but when the dust finally settled, the team found some relief, concluding the first stretch of High Limit Racing’s August swing through California with a top-ten result, doing so at Placerville Speedway in Placerville.

Abreu, the reigning High Limit Racing National Champion who calls St. Helena, California, home, finished ninth in his top-ten achievement, commencing action from seventh on the grid. As noted, the end result was a stout improvement, forced to conclude Thursday’s trip to Santa Maria Speedway with a 17th-place outcome, racing on to a tough 20th-place | DNF result at Thunderbowl Raceway on Friday.

Abreu started tenth before his eventual DNF at Thunderbowl; a nowhere-to-go situation was the culprit.
