(May 11, 2026) – Known to most as “Indiana’s Baddest Bullring,” Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana, lived up to the hype Saturday night, May 9, and St. Helena, California’s Rico Abreu was right in the mix, concluding Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing’s $20,000-to-win Bryan Clauson Hero Classic with a podium result.
Abreu, the ace of Tony Stewart’s Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing, Carquest, Curb Records, Sugarbee Apples, Waste Connections, Arc Zone, Martin One Source, Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts, No. 24 sprinter, finished third in his visit to the Kokomo bullring, maintaining his place as a frontrunner after starting second on the grid. The reigning Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing champion earned his way into the 40-lap contest via second-fastest time in his respective group, racing on to finish fifth in his respective heat race. Abreu’s Kokomo Speedway visit was intended to be two days, but Friday’s program was eventually washed away due to Mother Nature. Despite the fact, Abreu remains third in the current High Limit championship chase, trailing Aaron Reutzel by 28 markers.
