BROWNSBURG, Ind. (June 2, 2025) -. There’s no place like home, and for Fargo, North Dakota’s Donny Schatz, that statement hits the nail on the head, ultimately concluding the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series doubleheader in the Peace Garden State with back-to-back podium finishes, highlighting all attempts with a Hard Charging performance at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks on Friday, May 30.

Schatz, ace of Tony Stewart’s Carquest, Advance Auto Parts, Curb Records, Martin One Source, No. 15 sprint car, finished third in the aforementioned hard charge, commencing action from the inside of row eight. The ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion certainly knows his way around the River Cities bullring, now with 24 podium outcomes in 34 tries.

“These guys are digging,” Schatz said following his start at River Cities. “We hurt that car last week, so they had to put another car together. Pretty solid really. Qualifying, I didn’t feel bad, but we just didn’t have the speed. So, Todd, Wood, and Ian just kept working on it. Obviously, we had to start deep. We’ve always had good runs here, so I guess it’s kind of fitting we got another good one tonight.”

Just one night later at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, North Dakota, Schatz finished third yet again, this time from the pole position via dash triumph. Although eventual winner Sheldon Haudenschild took command at the initial start, Schatz did everything he could to overcome. Unfortunately, Gravel also slipped by forcing Schatz to settle for third at the line.

“We just tried to go wherever he wasn’t,” Schatz said of Haudenschild following his start at Red River. “He did a great job. He was a little bit better obviously. Maybe the Dash helped with being out there (on the outside). I used a tire up trying to get there. You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. I guess it’s better than fourth or fifth, but it would’ve been nice to get a win tonight.”
