BROWNSBURG, Ind. (September 5, 2023) – Ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, Donny Schatz, activated his September agenda in a big way, not only securing four straight top-ten scores with the Greatest Show On Dirt, but finding the podium in the process, ultimately capping his long Labor Day weekend with a third-place finish at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, Washington, on Monday, September 4.

Schatz, who started where he finished in Elma, was forced to battle by four-time and defending World of Outlaws champion, Brad Sweet, to secure the final podium position. The Fargo, North Dakota, native and ace of the Advance Auto Parts, Carquest, Ford Motor Company, Ford Performance, MadJax XSeries, Curb Records, Sage Fruit, Absolute Automation and Security, Hunt Brothers Pizza, Elliott’s Custom Trailers and Carts, No. 15 sprint car now owns 13 podiums on the 2023 Outlaws campaign trail.

“My guys did a great job, pretty solid night,” Schatz said at Grays Harbor. “We were competitive there most of the time. If we would’ve stayed in traffic, we might’ve been able to move around and do something. All in all a good night. The racetrack worked out fine. We could make the bottom work early and in traffic. Hats off to my guys.”

Other Labor Day weekend results include a consistent effort in Skagit Speedway’s Sage Fruit Skagit Nationals on August 31 through September 2, attaining sixth and fourth-place finishes in preliminary competition, all before performing a massive rally from 16th to finish ninth in the $26,000-to-win finale on Saturday night.
