BROWNSBURG, Ind. (October 17, 2022) – Consistency is key in maintaining a successful World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign, and that’s exactly what Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing accomplished during their recent two-day stay through the Midwest, ultimately capping their Nebraska and Kansas sweep on October 14-15 with back-to-back top-ten outcomes, highlighting the pair with an eighth-place performance in the Lakeside Speedway Showdown at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. A fourth-place run during his respective heat race secured his position in the 30-lap showdown; Schatz went on to start 15th.

One night prior at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska, Schatz finished ninth during A-Main competition, once again the product of row eight. Schatz finished fourth in his I-80 heat race, as well.

A productive and consistent weekend allowed Schatz to maintain fourth in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship standings, padded by 53 top-ten finishes in 65 A-Main starts. With only the Williams Grove Speedway National Open remaining before the season-ending World Finals, the Fargo, North Dakota, native and ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion will head into the final stretch of the season with three victories, the most notable being Knoxville Raceway’s Knoxville Nationals.
