2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Sixth | 3454 points [158 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]
BROWNSBURG, Ind. (June 13, 2022) – A man that certainly knows his way around Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion and ten-time Knoxville Nationals champion, Donny Schatz, capped the weekend’s Brownells Big Guns Bash at the Sprint Car Capital of the World with a pair of top-ten performances, ending the doubleheader with a fourth-place run on Saturday, June 11. The Fargo, North Dakota, native was forced to climb six spots to secure his eighth top-five of the season, still maintaining the sixth spot in the World of Outlaws championship standings.
A big run on Lemoore, California’s Carson Macedo secured his position, sliding the Jason Johnson Racing No. 41 entry in turn three with 5 laps remaining.
Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing, Advance Auto Parts, Carquest, Ford Motor Company, Ford Performance, Curb Records, Sage Fruit, Digital Ally, Absolute Automation and Security, Hunt Brothers Pizza, Elliott’s Custom Trailers and Carts, No. 15 sprint car, launched his weekend at the historic Knoxville Raceway with an impressive rally from row nine, eventually climbing nine spots to finish ninth. A common theme for the evening, Schatz rallied big in Friday’s heat race to qualify for main event competition, driving forward from ninth to finish fifth.

Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with the Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, on Friday and Saturday, June 17-18. The weekend will award a total winner’s share equaling $30,000; $10,000 on Friday and $20,000 on Saturday.
