2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Sixth | 4208 points [148 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (June 27, 2022) – Ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, Donny Schatz, and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing were forced to deal with just about everything during their four-day campaign at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, but despite the hardships, one of which getting caught up in a red flag incident before being scored 18th in the High Bank Nationals opener on Thursday, June 23, Schatz and the Brownsburg, Indiana-based outfit kept their heads on straight, ultimately capping the $100,000-to-win blockbuster with an 11th-place score on Saturday, June 25, bumping ahead two spots after starting 13th on the grid. One night prior, Schatz was eighth at the finish, once again climbing ahead from the inside of row seven.

A respectable finish, nonetheless, Schatz’ top performance of the weekend actually occurred on Wednesday during a rescheduled Huset’s program from June 5. The ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion and Fargo, North Dakota, native finished sixth in the make-up race, utilizing his row four starting spot to maintain his position within the top-ten.

With all results considered, Schatz is currently sixth in the World of Outlaws championship standings, accumulating 22 top-ten appearances in 32 main event starts.

ON DECK:
Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with the Independence Day Spectacular doubleheader at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, on Friday and Saturday, July 1-2.

Schatz finished seventh in each of the Cedar Lake programs in 2021, starting sixth each night.
