INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 12, 2017) – There was a sense of disbelief overcoming Nickoel Ulhmer when she was notified today that she was chosen as the winner of a promotion hosted by Textron Off Road, Arctic Cat and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing and is now the new owner of a customized, one-of-a-kind, Donny Schatz-themed Arctic Cat HDX 700.

“Oh my gosh, this is so incredible,” said Ulhmer, of League City, Texas. “My husband is going to be so excited, too. He goes to the races all the time and I just can’t believe this. What a great anniversary present this will be. I’m beyond excited. I really can’t believe this.”

The reaction will likely be duplicated by the Texas woman and her family many times over after experiencing the thrill of adventure aboard the all-terrain side-by-side. She and her family reside near Houston and admitted it’s been a tough month in the area following the effects of Hurricane Harvey. Some of her family members still haven’t been able to return to their homes, but Luhmer admitted the opportunity to take limitless rides on the bayou in their new HDX will certainly raise the spirits of everyone.

The promotion has been a season-long celebration of an expanded partnership between Textron Specialized Vehicles, the leading global manufacturer of golf carts, utility and personal transportation vehicles, snowmobiles, side-by-sides, all-terrain vehicles, professional turf-care equipment, and ground-support equipment, Arctic Cat, the snowmobile brand that has stood as one of the most widely recognized and respected in the industry, and Tony Stewart Racing, a leader in short-track racing with 21 titles. The mantra throughout the 2017 World of Outlaws (WoO) Craftsman Sprint Car Series campaign has been “sharing the passion to reach greatness without limits.”

Ulhmer will officially take ownership rights of the HDX in Charlotte Nov. 3 during the season-ending World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, where TSR’s Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart, along with Ben White, Partnership Relations Manager for Textron Specialized Vehicles, present her the keys to the vehicle in a prerace ceremony.

“It’s not often someone hands over the keys to one of the most versatile vehicles on the market, and I can’t wait to see how excited Nickoel is in Charlotte,” White said. “It’s been an exciting season teaming up with Tony Stewart Racing and Donny this year and being able to take part in this unique promotion offering race fans the opportunity to win a vehicle that has tremendous capability. I’m sure Nickoel and her family are going to have a great time finding out just how much fun they can have.”

The customized HDX 700 model is schemed with graphics to emulate the TSR No. 15 Textron Off Road/Arctic Cat Sprint car that Schatz and his TSR team have raced to victory lane 21 times to date this season. They started the campaign with three Arctic Cat All-Star Circuit of Champions victories in February and have added 18 WoO A-Feature triumphs to their win list, including victories in the prestigious Kings Royal and Knoxville Nationals races. Schatz is nine races away from completing his 21st season with “The Greatest Show on Dirt” and eyeing a ninth Outlaw championship.

“It’s been an incredible season and we’ve had a lot to celebrate,” Schatz said. “I can only imagine how Nickoel and her family are feeling about winning the HDX. I know Tony (Stewart) and I were pretty excited to see in February. They are going to have a great time with it. It’s awesome to be part of such a cool promotion. I’m looking forward to meeting them in Charlotte and hopefully, we’ll be celebrating a lot down there.”
