BROWNSBURG, Ind. (May 26, 2026) – A crisscross halfway across the country resulted in back-to-back podium scores for Rico Abreu and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing (TSR), concluding their Memorial Day Week/Weekend sweep with Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing and World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series starts on Tuesday, May 19, and Saturday, May 23, respectively.
A crisscross, indeed, the aforementioned High Limit Racing start occurred at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, and after concluding their Midweek Series outing with a runner-up finish to “High Roller” rival and championship contender, Aaron Reutzel, Rico and TSR hit the road, turning their attention to the famed Knoxville Raceway with the World of Outlaws. Technically, the decision to join the Greatest Show On Dirt in Knoxville, Iowa, was weather initiated, as Port Royal Speedway’s Bob Weikert Memorial – sanctioned by Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing – was postponed to July 25-26.
Despite the relatively last minute road trip, Rico and TSR performed well, concluding Knoxville’s Stars and Stripes Salute worth $20,000-to-win with a third-place outcome from sixth on the grid. A total-team effort, the St. Helena, California, native and reigning High Limit Racing champion launched his Knoxville battle with the second-fastest qualifying time in his respective group, racing on to a runner-up result in his respective heat race.
Rico Abreu and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing are currently second in the High Limit Racing championship standings. His ranking is padded by 12 top-ten performances, six of which occurring within the top-five including an Arizona victory.
ON DECK:
Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their 2026 Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing campaign with a two-race stretch through the Midwest, set to visit Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, on Friday, May 29, and Butler Motor Speedway in Quincy, Michigan, on Saturday, May 30.
