BROWNSBURG, Ind. (July 12, 2021) – After back-to-back seventh-place finishes during Independence Day Spectacular action at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, Donny Schatz, found some redemption in the Badger State and cashed in a Wilmot Raceway start for a podium finish, climbing ahead from seventh to third during Wilmot’s Badger 40 on Saturday, July 10.

Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Carquest Auto Parts/Curb Records/Ford Performance/Sage Fruit/Digital Ally/Advance Auto Parts/Rush Truck Centers/Absolute Automation and Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/J&J Auto Racing/No. 15 sprint car, kicked-off his evening at Wilmot with a third-place run during his respective heat race, all after setting the tenth-fastest time during qualifying time trials; there were 26 cars entered for action.

“We were decent, you know we could stick with them,” Schatz said, a one-time Series winner thus far in 2021. “We just needed some more traffic. That one restart we went from sixth-to-third, but the caution killed us. We’re starting to get things going the right way, though. This is a good time to find some of that momentum.”

Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with five World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series starts in five days, all of which activating with the $10,000-to-win Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park on Tuesday, July 13. Schatz is a four-time Brad Doty Classic champion, the most recent accomplished in 2018.

A short, two-hour jaunt south out of Attica will lead the Fargo, North Dakota-native to his next destination, set to spend four days at the World’s Greatest Dirt Track, Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Wednesday through Saturday, July 14-17.

Highlighted with a pair of six-figure paydays, Eldora Speedway’s four-day blockbuster will feature two, separate $175,000-to-win Kings Royals, the 38th Annual Kings Royal on Thursday and the 37th Annual Kings Royal on Saturday, with a pair of preliminary events, Jokers Wild on Wednesday and the Knight Before the Kings Royal on Friday, stacked in between. Each of the preliminary programs will award $10,000 paydays, creating a $380,000 potential for the five-day World of Outlaws stretch.

Schatz is a five-time Kings Royal champion, last earning the crown, robe, and scepter in 2018.
