BROWNSBURG, Ind. (July 14, 2020) – After missing the top-ten during holiday action at Cedar Lake Speedway one week prior, Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing put together an impressive three-day performance during action in Iowa, Wisconsin and Indiana, highlighting the weekend slate with a pair of runner-up finishes, one of which the result of a hard charge from 23rd at Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Sunday, July 12. Schatz’ passing display was sound enough to earn the evening’s Hard Charger Award for passing the most main event cars.

Schatz was forced to start 23rd after losing a motor during his respective heat race.

“We got ourselves qualified well at Terre Haute, but the Heat Race went to Hell in a handbag,” Schatz said. “So, that’s just the way it works. We had to dig ourselves out of a hole. It’s a pretty respectable night. We’d like to be a little bit better. We won’t hang our head on it. It’s trying at the moment, but we’ll dig through it. These (Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing) guys are incredible at what they do.”

Donny Schatz kicked-off his weekend in the upper-Midwest with a runner-up result at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa, on Friday, July 10. The Fargo, North Dakota-native started second on the feature grid and battled with eventual winner Parker Price-Miller during the closing laps.

Just one position shy of a podium sweep, Schatz finished fourth at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, on Saturday, July 11. The ten-time World of Outlaws champion started seventh on the evening grid, locking himself in with a third-place run during his respective heat race.
