2019 World of Outlaws Championship Standings: 1st – 7358 points (36-point lead over Brad Sweet)

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (September 3, 2019) – Ten-time and defending World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion, Donny Schatz, put together an impressive display during his recent trip to Washington, ending his three-race/four-day campaign across The Evergreen State with a pair of runner-up performances, as well as one additional top-ten. In addition, Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Toco Warranty/Ford Performance/Curb Records/Sage Fruit/Absolute Automation & Security/No. 15 sprint car, ended his weekend with a 36 point lead in the World of Outlaws championship standings, quickly closing in on an 11th Series title.

“Our goal is to win races, but when you put together a string of finishes like that, it’s tough to be unhappy,” Donny Schatz said, who owns eight World of Outlaws victories in 2019. “My guys work hard and are always trying to find ways to make this 15 car faster. They make my job easy.”

Donny Schatz activated Labor Day weekend with a doubleheader at Skagit Speedway in Burlington, Washington, on Friday and Saturday, August 30 & 31. Although kicking off the weekend with an eighth place performance on Friday, things turned for the better for the Fargo, North Dakota-native on Saturday, translating a second row starting spot into a runner-up finish.

A near-identical result on Labor Day, Schatz concluded his trip to Washington with a visit to Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma on Monday, September 2. Once again catapulting ahead from row two, Schatz finished second at Grays Harbor, taking the runner-up spot away from Carson Macedo, who snuck by Schatz for second two laps prior, on the final circuit.

Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing will continue their 2019 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series championship quest with appearances in Oregon and California on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, September 4, 6 & 7, respectively. Schatz’ week will commence at Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, Oregon, on Wednesday, September 4, followed by a Gold Cup doubleheader at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California, on Friday and Saturday, September 6 & 7.

Donny Schatz is the defending World of Outlaws winner at Willamette Speedway.
