BROWNSBURG, Ind. (July 8, 2019) – Tony Stewart’s Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek campaign through Central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland was complete with seven events in seven days, visiting six tracks in the process.

Although forced to face a few disappointing outcomes, not qualifying for action at Lincoln Speedway and Grandview Speedway on July 1 & 2, Smoke highlighted the trip with a podium performance at Selinsgrove Speedway on June 30, advancing ahead from row five to finish second at the final checkers. The top-five outcome bumped Stewart’s season total to 21.

“It was a fun week in Pennsylvania. The racers in that area of the country are top notch. They are the best in the business,” Tony Stewart explained, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Rush Truck Centers/Toco Warranty/Ford Performance/Curb Records/Sage Fruit/Absolute Automation & Security/No. 14 sprint car. “Every lap against that level of talent is important. We learned a lot during our trip and we’ll do our best to put those notes to good use when we return.”

In addition to his podium performance at Selinsgrove, Stewart racked up a pair of 11th place finishes during action at Port Royal Speedway and Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway on July 3 & 4, respectively. Impressive enough, the Port Royal result was a product of row 11, first advancing through the evening’s B-main to qualify for feature competition.

The three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and recent NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee kicked-off his Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek campaign with 15th and 14th place finishes at Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway on June 28 & 29.

Up next on the agenda, Tony Stewart will make his return to the Empire State, rejoining the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 for a three-race weekend on Friday through Sunday, July 12-14. The Columbus, Indiana-native will follow the All Stars to Utica-Rome Speedway, Orange County Fair Speedway and Lebanon Valley Speedway, respectively, during the three-day outing.

Although far from full-time with the Series, Smoke owns one All Star victory in 2019, that occurring at Bubba Raceway Park during the first weekend of the All Star season.
